We recently received a challenging assignment:
๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐: Stability calculation report for a ๐๐๐+ ๐๐จ๐ง ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐๐ซ that has been in continuous operation for around 40 years.
The challenges were real:
* Old hand-drawn drawings
* Previous calculations with missing pages
* Incomplete data making precise analysis extremely difficult
On that, a ๐.๐ ๐๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ needed to be replaced. We had to assess the structural stability of the unloader during the removal process.
What we did:
* Performed detailed stability calculations
* Created approx. CAD models for comparison
* Analyzed the Centre of Gravity (CG) shift after blower removal
* Identified the vital engineering data from multiple incomplete references
* Clearly communicated findings to the decision makers
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ : Even with missing data, the Centre of Gravity moved ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ after blower removal โ a reassuring result for structural stability.
We successfully completed and submitted the ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ.
