Alfalah Al-Alami Company, which has signed a contract with Sinoma Hefei HRCDI of China for the construction of a new cement factory in Jabal Saraj District of Parwan Province, is committed to establishing a high-quality cement production plant in Afghanistan.
Job Summary
The Chinese Language Translator will work closely with Chinese personnel to provide accurate translation between Dari/Pashto and Chinese, including text, audio, and other forms of communication. The translator will support smooth communication and documentation for the company, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Translate documents, emails, text messages, audio recordings, and other materials between Dari/Pashto and Chinese.
Assist Chinese personnel in daily communication and meetings with Dari/Pashto-speaking staff.
Format translated documents professionally across various file types (Word, Excel, PPT, CAD, etc.).
Translate Data sheets, product catalogues, and quality certifications for raw materials and machinery.
Translate Emails, letters, and formal communication with stakeholders or partners.
Assist in translating procurement contracts, MOUs, and other documents.
Marketing Materials: Brochures, website content, and presentations for a Chinese-speaking audience.
Ensure all translations are culturally appropriate and maintain the original document's technical meaning and intent.
Facilitate communication in meetings with partners, or clients.
Serve as the interpreter for virtual discussions.
Accompany Chinese on visits to plants or during equipment installation and training.
Act as a cultural liaison, helping to navigate business etiquette and practices to build strong, respectful relationships with stakeholder
Assist other departments with any communication requiring Chinese language skills.
Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive business information encountered during translation duties.
Perform additional translation-related tasks as required by the company.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chinese Language, International Trade, Engineering, or related fields.
Studied in China for more than 2 years in a full-time program or studied Chinese at the Afghan Confucius Institute for over 2 years.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in Mandarin, with pure pronunciation and proficiency. Fluent in English, proficient in Persian or Pashto (those who can master Persian and Pashto will be given priority).
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of translation experience for Chinese companies.
Experience with the construction or manufacturing sector is a significant advantage.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and CAD software.
Ability to translate and format documents in multiple file formats professionally.
Superior ability in translation and interpretation, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to quickly learn and accurately use technical terminology related to construction materials, machinery, and industrial processes.
Deep understanding of Chinese business culture and etiquette to facilitate smooth interactions.
Discreet, professional, and calm under pressure
Excellent communication and listening skills to act as an effective bridge between parties.

Working Condition:
This is a full-time position based in Kabul with regular travelling Jabul Saraj – Parwan and any other provinces if necessary.
Serious, responsible, and detail-oriented.
Strictly follows company guidelines and instructions.
Other Requirements:
Clean criminal record.
Compliant with national laws and regulations of Afghanistan.
