💥 How a Black Hole Is Born — Step by Step
🌟 1. It All Starts With a Massive Star
Every black hole begins life as a very massive star — at least 3 times heavier than the Sun, sometimes up to 100 times or more.
Stars are like cosmic engines. They shine because of nuclear fusion — the process where hydrogen atoms fuse together to make helium, releasing enormous energy.
This energy pushes outward, balancing the inward pull of the star’s gravity.

If the collapsing core has enough mass (usually more than about 3 solar masses), gravity becomes so intense that nothing can stop the collapse.
Atoms are crushed. Protons and electrons combine into neutrons. Even neutrons can’t resist the gravity anymore. The entire mass gets squeezed into an unimaginably tiny point — a singularity — where density becomes infinite.
At that moment, a black hole is born.
The surface surrounding it — where nothing can escape — is called the event horizon.
