The new electric arc furnace in Donawitz is taking shape and can be commissioned in just under a year, as planned.

In a further step, the new EAF plant is to be expanded further by around EUR 100 million by 2030, subject to outstanding funding issues being resolved. This allows us to produce up to 1.5 million tons of CO₂-reduced steel per year. 💚

Our voestalpine Railway Systems secures the largest single contract in its history: Rail Baltica is one of the most significant high-speed rail infrastructure projects in Europe. 🚆

For this major cross-border project, our voestalpine Railway Systems has received its largest framework agreement to date, worth around EUR 470 million, for the supply of high-tech turnouts and digital monitoring systems. In this way, we are contributing to a high-performance North-South connection between Northern and Central Europe. 🚀
