In Vienna, we walk. A lot.
Which gives us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the city on a daily basis — the streets, the architecture… and, if you’re part of the Doorista team, the doors!

Traditional wooden doors, colourful entrances, beautiful ironwork.
It might sound peculiar, but once you start noticing doors, there’s no going back.

Autumn has treated us to plenty of sunshine this year. Perfect for the traditional harvest thanksgiving celebration, or as we call it in Austria — Erntedankfest. 🍁 🍎 🍇 🥨 Yep, it’s a mouthful. We know...

There’s a lot to be thankful for.
Like the privilege of having easy access to fresh, locally grown produce. (👉 Shoutout to living in Vienna!)

It’s not just the tradition of door-making we want to preserve. It’s the appreciation for things made by people — whether handmade, home-grown or thoughtfully designed.
Because nothing quite compares to the human touch. 🫶

Renovating old houses is never easy, but it also fills your heart in a way no new build ever can.
Preserving the heritage, keeping traditions alive, making sure history stays visible for the generations that follow.
We are always grateful to our clients for choosing us to support them on that journey. ❤️

Can you imagine how this beauty feels under your palm? 😍
Imagine placing your hand on it and opening the door to your home after a loooooong, busy day away.
The warmth. The familiar smells of your own space. Coffee or tea? Apples or oranges?

Maybe a dog on the other side, wagging its tail. Or a cat, stretching lazily and waiting to (finally!!) be cuddled again.

And it all starts with the touch of an elegant black handle — that little touchpoint between the outside world and your own personal corner of the universe.

Shoutout to summer holidays #2 🌞

While enjoying the bright, sunny days this early autumn has rewarded us with 🍁, our thoughts went back to summer once again. This time, the Canary Islands.

We just love old houses like this. The proportions, the woodwork, the details, the colours… This is exactly where we look for inspiration when designing Doorista doors.

Green happens to be one of our favourites too. Check out our projects to see how it looks on some of our models!

Meet Marcus and Anja. Father and daughter, two generations of Doorista, and proof that working with family can be a lot of fun. Most days, anyway. 😁

And the first generation? Still very much part of the team. Still the ones we call when we’re in doubt. ❤️ Because true traditions are passed down from person to person, not from one data centre to another.
