When I started in this industry over 20 years ago, I heard a phrase..... "Persistence beats Resistance" and that is as true today as it was when I first heard it.
Persistence is what got us over the line with a repair job on an excavator for Tom from Rural Earth & Water We went from a hitch with one broken ear, one bent ear and multiple cracks. Combine this with a seized pin and 2 leaking hoses, we had a task ahead of us.
Despite the machine fighting us at every turn, we were able to successfully remove and reclaim the seized pin and repair all the cracks. We reattached the broken ear, straightened the bent one, and re-pinned the hitch onto the machine. We replaced the 2 hoses and now the machine is back working how it should be.
Massive thanks to Timothy O'Ryan at O'ryan Mechanical Services for making the 2 hoses for us late on Saturday Evening.
