In Victoria there are 15 Standards that must be met for all Rental Properties. These include Structural Soundness.

AS 4084

Nothing gets the blood racing quite as much as thinking about reading an Australian Standard. (Honestly it sounds about as exciting as Accounting – but maybe that’s just me).

Anyway. There is an Australian standard that does need your (and our) attention. This bad boy. AS 4084.

The standard came into effect in 2023 and became mandatory in March 2024. Among other things it requires an annual inspection of all Warehouse and Storage racking – anything that involves a fork lift.

Seriously – it is a major compliance issue, and Barrasons Group are well placed to assist you.
