Used plastic bottles turned into kerbs

Our Green Kerb is 88% recycled plastic bottles. We collect, re-grade and re-process waste plastic to make our Green Kerbs and Drainage Channels.

Why?

> Reduced cost to the environment;

> Greater potential for use;

> Increases demand for sustainable products.

What’s more, our recycled kerb and drainage products are cheaper and quicker to supply and lay than conventional concrete kerbing and several times less harmful to the environment. There is no downside.

Temporary Kerbs

Do you require temporary highway-standard kerbing?

Our durable and versatile Green Kerb range is cheaper than conventional concrete kerbing methods, several times more sustainable and 300% quicker to install (requiring only 2 labourers to install 1km in a day). In fact, leave them in-situ as temporary-permanent kerbs or just pop them out and re-use them on your next project!

Silicosis is not a new disease but fortunately it is being brought to the forefront of everybody’s awareness.

Did you know that breathing in dusts from construction and demolition materials can cause serious illnesses such as silicosis and lung cancer?

600,000 Australian workers are exposed to silica dust every day. Silica exposure occurs across all industries including but not limited to tunneling, stonemasonry, mining, quarrying, abrasive blasting, and civil construction.

The only way to prevent Silica-related illnesses is to remove the risk altogether. Along with the sustainability and work health and safety considerations, producing a Silica-free product that can be cut dust-free, with a handsaw, was a key requirement during the development of our product range.

It is great to see construction companies making climate pledges to reduce emissions and become net-zero in the future. As one of the main polluters, it is important that the construction industry continues to make progress to reduce carbon emissions.

We think that banning many popular single use plastic items will have a significant effect on increasing circularity. To play our part in reducing plastic waste, we create our range of kerb and drainage solutions from recycled and recyclable plastic.

Not only do they lower environmental impact, but they are also lightweight and faster to install than traditional kerbing methods.

Did you know Green Kerb products can stand the test of time much better than concrete?

When revisiting Projects in the UK a decade after installation, our sustainable recycled polymer kerb solution shows no signs of damage.

The longevity of our green alternative to traditional concrete kerbing proves that investing in sustainable solutions is cheaper both upfront and in the long run!

This is an incredibly important issue, not just for us as a company but for the Australian economy and the future of our planet.

Having safe and secure homes and well-built places to work needn’t come at a cost to the environment. Everyone has a part to play, from businesses, to consumers, to our Locals Councils and National Governments.

Our Governments and Councils need to look at the economic drivers that would encourage Developers and Purchases to go green.

Here at Green Kerb, we’re committed to doing all we can to helping minimise the environmental impact of design and construction. Our recycled kerb and drainage products are cheaper to supply and lay than conventional concrete kerbing and several times less harmful to the environment.

The future of design is in the details!
