CRITICAL NEWS UPDATE 🚨

It is 5 DAYS until the REA F1 In Schools National Competition and Team McQueen is nearly ready to go. Our team as well as two of our F1 teachers will be flying down to Adelaide on Sunday morning and we are all very excited!!! Our Merchandise and Display for the competition had been sent down to Adelaide by Jetta and will be there waiting for us as we step feet into the competition precinct. In terms of our cars, they are nearly completed but looking super fast and speedy and ready to kick some F1 butt.

*** Over the next week our Facebook and Instagram will be constantly updated documenting our progress at the national finals and we encourage you to follow our journey and support us as much as possible as we face the best teams from the nsw, vic, sa and more. We will keep you posted :)

Unfortunately after states a member dropped out of our team, Lucianne: the design engineer. Leaving Bria with a very short amount of time to find a qualified new member who can complete all the requirements of a design engineer. This includes assisting the manufacturing engineer and graphic designer in completing their duties alongside designing via the programme inventor and quick cam pro a car that meets the regulations and will help us win at nationals. Although it was difficult to find a member, we have finally found someone with a positive attitude and mass of motivation who'll actively participate in team McQueen, Joah Nelson

Over the last three days we have competed in the Rea F1 in schools competitions at a state level and have enjoyed it immensely. Day 1 was known as the "set up day" of which where the final cars were scrutineered, our portfolio was submitted and 2 hours were provided for us to set up our complex pit display. Day 2 was competition day. Team McQueen wore their professional uniforms which included braided hair, red ribbons, black jeans, black shoes and our branded shirts and completed our engineering critiquing speech, verbal presentation, car racing and marketing display. Team Mcqueen were extremely happy with their performance throughout the day and were able to meet new people from students to qualified engineers. Finally, Day 3 was the final day. To kick it off we competed in knock out races of which where we won the grand final and then the awards presentation began.

We are very proud to announce that Team McQueen are the STATE CHAMPIONS for 2016 coming home with both the state titles for best development team and best team overall!!!
