We had 90mm of rain on Monday, that's roughly 1,800,000lt of water across this HUGE site for Newnham Scaffolding's new Head Quarters site in Park Ridge.

Thanks to some great diversion drains and gravel access paths we are back to it.

Today, the only grey on-site is the brand new office slab going down! (that and my hair). 👴

Huge effort from the team and our subbies to get the site prepped, while we dry out to tackle 16,250m2 of concrete hardstand.

Fingers crossed for sun + wind for a few days.

🏗️ Newnham Scaffolding HQ 2.0: Meticulous Planning, Now in Motion!

They say patience is a virtue, but in construction, it’s a strategy.

After a bit of a "washout" courtesy of the local weather, we are officially out of the ground at Park Ridge. Moving a 110t crawler crane into position isn’t just about turning a key—it requires a solid foundation and a literal "green light" from all stakeholders to ensure every lift is as safe as it is precise. 🤝✅

Seeing these tilt panels go up is the result of meticulous planning finally coming to life. It’s a high-stakes game of "Lego" on a massive scale, and our team is nailing the ex*****on.

The mud has dried, the site is primed, and Newnham Scaffolding HQ 2.0 is finally reaching for the sky. 🚀

Just finished Plant checks on:
✅ 2 Telehandlers
✅ 6 Excavators
✅ 4 Boom lifts
✅ 2 Skid steers
✅ 1 Loader

I didn't find the partridge, but I’m pretty sure the pear tree is buried under a pile of site inductions somewhere. 🍐

Who knew the team Raynor Plumbing Pty Ltd were world-class mud wrestlers? 🤼‍♂️🌧️

This week at the Newnham Scaffolding site, the weather decided to turn our civil stormwater section into a mud factory. But did the boys from Raynor's tap out? Not a chance.

They’ve pushed through the sludge to wrap up the first section, and honestly, they deserve a gold medal (and a very powerful pressure washer). 🥇🧼

The best part? Despite the swamp-like conditions, they’re still diligently cleaning up as they go. I’ve always said a tidy site is a happy Pete, and these guys are making me very happy indeed.

A place for everything, and everything in its place.

Enjoy the weekend, fellas. Try to find some dry land! 🏝️, only a couple of hundred more meters to go :)

Perseverance pays off in Yatala. 🚧

​It’s been a massive week on-site facing some unexpected ground conditions. What looked like easy-going fill over "weak rock" turned into 26 piers in s**t fill, over a layer of high-strength rock that tested every bit of gear and patience.

​I’m incredibly proud of the team and our contractors for digging in (literally) and getting the ground works done 🪏

We’ve finally cleared the inspections and are ready to drop cages and start the pour on Monday.

Just a little tease of what we have been up to onsite at the Newnham Scaffolding new Head Quarters in Park Ridge.

The rain tried to stop us 🌧️🚫, however the team put on the gumboots and pushed through.

Big milestones at the site today! 🏗️ on the Newnham Scaffolding new Head Quarters!

It’s been a massive two weeks for the team at Goodhew Construction Services. Despite the heat, rain, and resulting mud, the team have been hard at work.

Today marks a huge shift as we wrap up:

- Today we poured the last of our 70 tilt panels.
- Today we placed the final concrete sleeper for our civil retaining.
- This week the last of the building footings going in.

Next week is when the real action starts—it’s time to lift those panels!
