CRACK REPAIRS DONE. NOW LET’S GET THOSE BORES BACK IN LINE. 🔧

Our team headed onsite to tackle the next stage of repairs on this Komatsu PC1250 excavator bucket.

With crack repairs already completed around the bosses, the next job was to restore the worn and distorted holes — bringing them straight, true and back into alignment.

Using onsite line boring, we machined the boss holes back to specification, ready for the bucket to get back to work.

Because when you’re dealing with equipment of this size, taking it to the workshop isn’t always an option.

🔧 It’s not often our onsite technician comes across a machine he’s never worked on before.

With over 22 years of experience in the industry, there aren’t many machines or repairs he hasn’t seen — but this Caterpillar Haulmax was a new one.

We were called out to carry out repairs to worn bores, putting that experience and problem-solving ability to work on unfamiliar equipment.
