🀝 Building strong partnerships, one visit at a time!

This week, our Project Sales Engineers, Paul and Andrew, along with our General Manager, Matt, had the privilege of welcoming some of our valued, long-term clients from Ramu Sugar to BWEL.

It was fantastic to connect with the Ramu Sugar team in person and showcase our world-class facilities, capabilities and the expertise that goes into delivering quality sugar milling solutions.

We’re incredibly proud of the longstanding relationship we have built with Ramu Sugar and look forward to continuing to work together for many years to come.

Thank you to the Ramu Sugar team for taking the time to visit us β€” it was a pleasure having you at BWEL! πŸŒβš™οΈ

Flashback Friday
Bundaberg Walkers has a long history of working across a diverse range of industries.
In 1990, Bundaberg Walkers extended the MV Moongalba by 36 feet (10.97 metres).
Originally built in 1974, the vessel arrived in Bundaberg 15 years later, where she was lengthened to increase her capacity to carry up to 30 vehicles.
The first image shows the MV Moongalba in our slipway during the extension, alongside part of the original engineering drawing used for the project. The second image shows the vessel as she operates today.
Following her time in Queensland, the MV Moongalba was sold to New Zealand in 2006 and renamed Spirit of Waiheke. She returned to Queensland in 2012, spent several years operating in Tasmania from 2018, and returned to Cleveland in 2021, where she continues to provide an important ferry service across South East Queensland.
It's projects like these that showcase the breadth of engineering work undertaken by Bundaberg Walkers over the decades.
