The Del Rey was designed to make the most of what’s upstairs.

More than 140 square metres of the upper level is dedicated to the kitchen, meals and living, opening straight onto an 18-square-metre balcony.

Four bedrooms. Three bathrooms. Two living spaces. And a whole lot happening across two levels, with more than 300 square metres of living on a block that’s only 11.5 metres wide.

Like every Rendition home, this is just one version of it.

The last weekend with The Cali.

Thank you to everyone who came through our final open over the weekend, and to everyone who has walked through the doors over the past four months since it opened earlier this year.

Cali gave us the chance to show just how far custom can go with Rendition Homes.

From the mid-century influence to the floorplan, the sunken lounge and skillion ceiling, every detail was designed around the way modern families live. Central spaces to come together, with separate areas to retreat to when you want a little space of your own.

It was a home made to show what’s possible when you have the flexibility to build differently.

When we say custom, we mean custom.

Not "pick from three façades." Not "choose your benchtop from this tray."

We mean bring us the plan in your head and we'll draw it. Bring us a plan you love and want to change everything about, we'll change everything about it. Bring us the block three other builders said no to. Bring us the napkin sketch.

Home-made for outdoor living.

Most homes get one outdoor space. The Cali has two.

There's the central courtyard, the quiet one. Morning coffee before anyone else is up. A wine on a Friday when the week's done.

And then there's this one. Wide open, tucked under the skillion roofline, kitchen already sorted. This is where the Saturday barbecue happens. Where the table gets pulled out for Christmas lunch and nobody's stuck inside missing the good bits.

Consider this your open invitation —

Our display homes are open across SA again this August, and we'd love nothing more than to show you through.

Come wander room to room. Open the cupboards. Stand in the kitchen for a minute and see how it feels. Work out where the couch goes, where the coats go, whether the laundry's in the right spot. Stay as long as you like, and ask us anything — including the "could we change…" questions. Those are our favourite ones.

The doors are open. Come say hello.

Home-made for Saturday mornings.

The bench is where it all happens. Someone's making coffee, someone else has claimed the end for a laptop, and there's still room for whoever wanders in next.

That's the part we think about when we're drawing a kitchen. Not how it photographs, but how it holds a Saturday — whatever that looks like.

And if your Saturday looks different, we'll draw it different. Longer island, walk-in pantry, the whole lot moved to the other side of the house. Nothing here is fixed.
