Usually when Jessie says she's expecting a delivery, it's a box of parts, paperwork or something fun for the office.

This delivery was a little different.

A mining bucket arriving at the workshop by crane, ready for repairs. Safe to say it attracted a bit more attention than the average courier delivery.

Will has spent that many hours repairing buckets over the years that we've all lost count. That's probably for the best.

A lot of hard work has gone into keeping mining equipment moving across the Western Downs.

Our main man, Will Hays.

Boilermaker, husband, father and the bloke behind Hays Welding & Maintenance.

For the past 15 years he's been supporting mining shutdowns, maintenance crews and heavy equipment repairs across the Surat Basin.

Fortunately for us, he's better with a welder than he is with a camera.

Lucky for us, he doesn't have Facebook, so there's a good chance he'll never know this photo made it online.
