Rehabilitating the Ranger Project Area is a complex process with many interdependent elements. Water is one element that is critically important to the success of rehabilitation.

The Ranger Project Area is surrounded by some of Australia’s most beautiful waterways and ERA is making sure that this environment is protected during all rehabilitation work.

Our team work with different water types both on site and within the surrounding environment with the goal of treating all water to a quality where it can be safely released into natural waterways.

We have entered a new era of ERA.

ERA is proud our business is focused on the rehabilitation of the Ranger Project Area now that we have completed our transition from mining to mine closure and rehabilitation.

Our new operational purpose is to create a positive legacy and achieve world-class, sustainable rehabilitation of former mine assets. This commitment starts with our work at the Ranger Project Area which we aim to rehabilitate to a standard where it could be reincorporated into Kakadu National Park.

Power supply to Jabiru will be disrupted between 2:00pm and 5:00pm today for approximately three hours to carry out urgent maintenance to the Power Station. This maintenance is required to avoid the risk of power failure after hours. ERA crews will be working hard to ensure this disruption is as minimal as possible.
