Corrosion like this weakens the blade mounting and can cause it to detach mid-spin — a genuine safety risk, especially in bathrooms and laundries near the coast. Replaced this one in Currumbin Waters today. Salt air speeds this up more than people realise. Get yours inspected if it’s rattling or rusting.
