A pretty BIG milestone for CADOps… our team has officially grown!

We’re incredibly excited to introduce Aiden, the very first employee to join the CADOps team!

Aiden has joined us as a school-based trainee while he completes Year 12, gaining hands on experience in the drafting industry alongside his studies.

This one is particularly special for CADOps. Matt started his own career as a trainee, so being in a position all these years later to offer that same opportunity to a young person starting out in the industry feels like a real full circle moment.

As a local business, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for young people here on the Fraser Coast, giving them a pathway into the industry and, hopefully, another reason to build their careers right here in our region.

For a business that started with just the two of us, welcoming our very first employee is a pretty exciting milestone, and we couldn’t be happier to have Aiden joining us for the next chapter of CADOps.

Welcome to the team, Aiden! We’re excited to see where this journey takes you. 👏🧡

And can we take a moment for the new CADOps uniforms?! 😎

A huge shout out to the team at Worklocker Hervey Bay for getting our new shirts sorted and embroidered. We reckon Matt and Aiden are looking pretty sharp!

This evening, our business experienced an incident where one of our external cameras was deliberately damaged, removed from our building and thrown.

After receiving the camera alert, we immediately called 000 and headed straight to our office. At the time, we had no idea whether we were dealing with a damaged camera, a break-in, theft, or more extensive vandalism.

We would like to sincerely thank the attending Police Officer for his outstanding response. By the time we returned to the office, he was already on scene. He thoroughly checked our premises, reviewed the available footage with us, and assisted in searching the surrounding area, where the damaged camera was fortunately located. His professionalism, diligence and prompt response gave us peace of mind during what was an uncertain situation, and we are incredibly grateful for his assistance.

Thankfully, our premises remained secure and the damage was limited to the camera itself.

We're sharing this footage for one reason only: to make other businesses and residents in the Pialba area aware that this incident has occurred. If you own a business nearby, it may be worth checking your footage or ensuring your premises are secure this evening. If this information helps even one business identify suspicious activity early, then sharing it has been worthwhile.

A sincere thank you once again to the attending officer for your quick action.

Well done, Aiden! 👏

Year 12 student Aiden has spent a week of his school holidays gaining valuable industry experience with CADOps, diving into the world of drafting, and what a fantastic week it’s been!

From learning the fundamentals of CAD design, working with layouts, and understanding how concepts turn into detailed plans, Aiden has embraced every opportunity.

Beyond the technical skills, Aiden has also gained insight into how a small business with a big future operates, experiencing the real-world demands and rewards of the industry.

A huge thank you to Matt and Tayla for taking Aiden under your wing and providing such a supportive and hands-on experience. Opportunities like this make a lasting impact, and we truly appreciate your time and mentorship.

We’re excited to see where Aiden’s skills and passion take him next! 🚀

You might have noticed we've been a little quiet lately. We've been working on something that means a lot to us; building opportunities for the next generation of our industry.

We're passionate about supporting the future of the construction industry, and for us, this initiative is more than just a business decision, it's personal.

Our Director, Matt, began his own career as a school-based trainee. That opportunity gave him the foundation to build a career spanning more than 15 years in drafting, design, engineering support and software development. Today, it's that same journey that inspires us to give local students the opportunity to discover where a career in our industry could take them.

Last week, we welcomed our very first work experience student into the CADOps office. Throughout the week, he gained hands-on experience, learned about the many career opportunities available within our industry, and explored the possibility of commencing a school-based traineeship with us.

Our vision extends beyond simply providing work experience. We want to help create meaningful career opportunities for local students, support young people as they enter the workforce, and encourage them to build rewarding careers right here in the Fraser Coast region. We believe investing in local talent today helps strengthen our industry for tomorrow.

We sincerely thank Fraser Coast Anglican College, particularly their Pathways Officer and CAD & Graphics Teacher, for believing in this initiative and working alongside us to make these opportunities possible. We'd also extend our thanks to Mas National for their guidance and support throughout the traineeship process.

We were incredibly humbled to receive this Certificate of Appreciation from the College. While the recognition means a great deal to us, the greatest reward is knowing that we're helping open doors for the next generation, just as someone once did for Matt.
This is only the beginning, and we're excited to continue building opportunities for young people while supporting the future of our local construction industry.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support CADOps and the vision we're building. 🧡

Reintroducing the faces behind CADOps!

For those who are new here — welcome!
And for those who have supported us along the way — thank you 🧡

We’re Matt and Tayla, the duo behind CADOps.

Matt brings over 15 years of experience across drafting, design, engineering support, project coordination, and software development within the construction industry. With a strong passion for practical problem solving and innovation, he leads the technical and industry side of the business — from drafting workflows through to software solutions.

Tayla manages the business operations, marketing, and administration. With a background in business, management, and marketing, she helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes while ensuring our clients receive professional and personalised support.

Together, we built CADOps with a simple goal:
To provide practical, real world solutions for the construction industry through quality drafting, documentation, fire safety services, and software tools designed by people who understand the industry firsthand.

We’re incredibly proud of how far CADOps has come and excited for what’s ahead as we continue to grow our services.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our small local business so far — we truly appreciate it!

Stay tuned for more new and exciting things on the horizon 😍

We’re excited to officially launch the brand new and updated CADOps website! 🧡

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes creating a fresh new online experience that better reflects who we are, what we do, and where CADOps is heading.

What makes this launch even more exciting for us is that the website was completely designed and developed in house, by our Director, Matt. This project is something we’re incredibly proud of and serves as a strong demonstration of the quality, capability, and expertise behind our Software Solutions business.

Combining real world construction industry experience with practical software development skills, the new website showcases the level of innovation and technical ability that drives CADOps and the solutions we create for the industry.

Our updated website now gives you a clearer look into:
✅ Drafting Services
✅ As-Built Documentation
✅ Fire Safety Services
✅ Site Measuring & Documentation
✅ 3D Modelling & Revit Services
✅ Project Setup Support
