Water walker stage 2 wrapped up at Mulberry Pastoral in NSW.

This is a custom water walker build we're overseeing from start to finish. We're moving through it in stages to manage the installation properly and ensure everything integrates perfectly.

Stage 1 covered the workings of the walker — the above ground mechanism and in-situ fabrication of the entrance barriers. Stage 2 is now complete: we've laid the rubber mats in the entrance way and also the main walking area of the pool. We've got plenty of stainless steel anchors in place to keep the mats down — 1600 actually. The entrance barriers came back from galvanising, and we've installed those too.

Stage 3 is the stainless steel works for below the water level, wrapping up in about four to six weeks. This will include the outstands to keep the horses off the walls, the baffles to help minimise the whirlpool effect, and all of the gates. Once that's done, this water walker will be ready to go.

Building a water walker from the ground up takes planning, precision, and coordination across every step. The result is a piece of equipment that's tailored exactly to what the customer needs and built to last.

Ferry run across the Hawkesbury River at Wiseman's Ferry in NSW.

Always a good stretch when you're out on the road between service calls. The river's looking good, and the forested hills either side make for a decent drive.

When you're covering ground across the state servicing treadmills and walkers, you get to see some nice country. This one's a pleasant detour.

Narrow bay walker loaded and ready to roll for Paul Sweeney in NSW.

This is a 6-horse Premium walker with narrow bays, heading out on the truck today. It's the first of this model we've built, and Paul specifically wanted the narrow bay design to suit his setup.

Some trainers prefer narrow bays to prevent horses from turning around in their bays, which keeps them moving forward and focused on the work. Paul also runs one of our Premium treadmills, so he'll have both a walker and a treadmill to keep his horses fit and working well.

Once it arrives, we'll get out there and commission it properly.

Routine service wrapped up at Leneva Park.

This Artisan Equine treadmill gets plenty of work, and it's performing really well. We went through the usual checks, inspected the belt, rollers, and bearings, and made sure everything is running clean and tight.

When you're working a treadmill hard day in and day out, regular servicing keeps it reliable and catches anything before it becomes a problem. The maintenance pays off in the long run.

This one's back in action and ready for more work.

Electronical diagnosis and reprogramming wrapped up on this HorseGym treadmill.

We were called out to diagnose this HorseGym treadmill that was not running. We ascertained that someone with electrical knowledge decided to get into the parameter programming section in the Variable Speed Drive inverter (VSD) and change things to address a completely separate issue.

The VSD is basically the brains that controls the operation of the motor. After a few hours of diagnosis working out what had been changed and then reprogramming the affected parameters, it's back up and running like it should.

Here's the thing: VSD’s and treadmill electronics are hugely complex. There are around 1000 different parameters with multiple combinations which can be altered. And changing just one without understanding the others can shut the whole machine down, as was the case here.

Even if you're qualified as an electrician, we don’t recommend changing parameters. If something's not right with your HorseGym, give us a call. We'll sort it out properly.

Premium treadmill loaded and on its way across the Nullarbor to Upper Swan in WA.

This one's heading to Isaac Pieris, and the truck left yesterday. Installation is happening this week — we'll be making the trip over to get it commissioned and running.

Isaac wanted the Premium model, so he's getting the funnel type barriers, integrated fan within the gate, touch screen controls, and optional rear wall barriers. It's a solid setup for keeping horses fit and sound out in Western Australia.

First service wrapped up for Danny Williams in Goulburn.

This Artisan Equine treadmill has been in work for a while now, and it's performing exactly as it should. We went through the usual checks, made sure everything was running well, and gave it a thorough going-over.

Regular servicing keeps these machines running smoothly and catches anything before it becomes a problem. The belt, rollers, bearings, and drive components all get inspected, and if something needs attention, we can usually sort it out on the spot.

Service run wrapped up at Bjorn Baker's in Warwick Farm.

Bjorn runs three Magnum walkers, and we get out every six months or so to keep them safe and reliable. This visit covered the usual maintenance plus a bit of in-situ welding work to sort out some wear and tear.

Halfway through the job, a storm rolled in and it was bucketing down. Lucky there was a bit of shelter to work under, or it would have been a long afternoon.

These mono-rail style walkers are solid machines. They're simple, efficient, and built to handle daily work without fuss. We build them here in Australia, from 4-horse units all the way up to 20-horse setups. In fact, we're the only ones in Australia building mono-rail walkers.

Service run through NSW wrapped up, and the drive from Dubbo to Sydney didn't disappoint.

Stopped at Capertee Valley along the way. At 30 kilometres wide, it's supposedly the world's second largest canyon, wider than the Grand Canyon but not quite as deep. The lookout sits at 907 metres, with views stretching across the valley floor 627 metres below.

When you're covering ground between service jobs, it's worth pulling over for a view like this. Beats staring at the highway the whole way.

Back to work now, but it's good to get out and see the country while we're at it.

Just listed: 1999 Classic Treadmill, one owner from new, never moved since delivery.

This is a full galloping treadmill built to the wider specifications with a hot-dip galvanised frame instead of the standard green paint. The frame looks clean, modern, and won't rust.

It's lived its entire life inside a shed, protected from the elements. Used maybe 12 times per week for hobby purposes only, so it's had a very limited and unstressed life. Still set up and operational.

We've listed this treadmill on consignment and will be happy to pass on interested purchasers to our customer. All enquiries should be directed to Artisan Equine first.
