Throwback Thursday to a project in the chilly country town of Kilmore. Brief was to remove the dead grass and replace with kid friendly artificial turf for a child care centre to be enjoyed all year round. Swipe to see the before, during and after➡️

A little tricky and tight project down at Ranelagh Boat Club. Excavate and remove over 40 cubic meters of spoil that had washed down over the cliff behind the boat shed for a number of years. This was a tough one with very limited access using excavator and a dingo to cart the material out to load off site. With the concrete spoon now cleaned out, any water will now be drained to where it need to get to. A very rewarding result at the end of the day.

Started off with a brief of removing the old failing rock and timber retaining walls and levelling out the backyard to make it a far more usable area.
Using blackwood concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, installed new retaining walls and reshaped the whole backyard. A couple of sets of stairs, fencing, irrigation, turf and planting to come to finish this project off.

Had the trusty helping out. We had to overcome some very tight access challenges and what the Melbourne winter can throw at you but we have broken the back of this one. More to come after a mid winter break.

Last weeks project! Removed a failing & rotted out red gum retaining wall. Replaced with steel posts & treated pine sleepers. 🔨🔨👷‍♂️👷‍♂️
