To begin the week our team conducted a survey in Bendolba NSW to detect underground services within a property boundary. The purpose of the survey? Installing a fence in the grass area while ensuring no services were struck during installation. Here are the findings:
️⃣ Electrical - LV ducting was found, linking in with the street lights and within the grass area. HV ducting was also detected, originating from a substation in the estate and running through the grass area. QL-B.
️⃣ Telecommunications - Telstra ducting of 50mm PVC was discovered in the grass area, connecting to the entire estate. A sanity check was conducted in the Telstra pit outside the property, revealing that the line tracked back to a Telstra pit. QL-B.
️⃣ Sewer - Two sewer pits were found on the property, one with a depth of 1.75m and the other at 2.85m. Fortunately, they are deep enough in the ground that they won't interfere with the proposed fencing. QL-A.
️⃣ Storm - Two storm pits were identified outside the property, with 375ø concrete ducting running in and out of both. Each pit had a land drain of 100mm PVC entering, although tracking was challenging due to ground conditions. QL-D
️⃣ Water - Unclear results on the GPR tablet caused by ground conditions. However, we were able to verify the water lines within the survey area through the dial before you dig drawings obtained online. QL-D
