My request to anyone who is involved in organised sport (or their kids) to know, foreign tape companies (Big Tape) have 'bought' your rights to safe sport, paying all your national sports AFL, NBL, Suncorp Super Netball, Football Australia, AIS, Australian Physio Assn. (PARTNER of Elastoplast) and Sports Medicine Australia to continue to tape when evidence doesn't support it and there are safer Australian systems. Locally, it will be a Physiotherapist sponsorship excluding safer options, putting tape on your kids ankles or recommending foreign braces that fail too. Ankle sprains are a multi-billion dollar business profiting from preventable harm.
