Lawn Maintenance Team Member
Shepherds Landscapes - Sydney
Shepherds Landscapes is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Lawn & Garden Maintenance Team Member. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work outdoors across a variety of sites throughout Sydney.
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes.
Position Details:
* Schedule: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with overtime available
* Duties Include:
- Performing a range of grounds maintenance tasks, including lawn mowing (push and ride-on), gardening, and minor tree maintenance
- Overseeing site cleanliness and presentation to ensure high standards are maintained
- Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment in safe working order
- Completing job-related paperwork accurately and professionally
- Using PPE and adhering to all workplace safety procedures
- Representing the company in a polite, professional, and well-presented manner
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance is desirable but not essential - training provided
* Minimum of 6 months' experience in gardening or grounds maintenance (preferred)
* Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operation
* Ability to confidently discuss and perform general gardening and maintenance tasks
* Current driver's licence (manual) is essential

Shepherd’s Landscapes is a well-established landscaping company based in Leppington, proudly delivering high-quality residential landscape and concrete projects across Sydney. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Excavator Operator / Truck Driver to join our growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Safely operate and maintain a 3.5-tonne JCB Excavator
Perform detailed excavations, including digging out driveways and final trims for landscaping projects
Collaborate with our landscaping and concreting teams to complete projects professionally and efficiently
Interpret and work from plans and levels with accuracy
Complete documentation and reporting of daily work activities

What We’re Looking For:
A valid Medium Rigid (MR) truck license
Minimum 3 years’ experience in detailed excavation
Proven ability to operate excavation equipment safely and effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must hold a valid White Card (OH&S certification)

At this stage we are only seeking experienced landscapers who are able to follow instructions via a plan and able to work well with others , Excavator & bobcat experience a bonus .
We are also seeking a concrete offsider to join the concrete division . Tasks will include helping to form and pour residential driveways . Experience not required but willingness to learn and drivers license a must .
