At Ellico, looking after our people means more than getting everyone through the gate, onto site and home safely.

We talk a lot about looking out for your mates in our industry, and that shouldn't stop at physical safety.

Sometimes it's noticing someone's a bit quieter than usual. Sometimes it's a chat at crib, a phone call, or simply asking "You good, mate?" and taking the time to actually listen.

You don't need the perfect words or all the answers. You just need to genuinely give a s**t.

🏁 Proud to back the next generation of trades

Ellico Group is proud to be supporting Glencore's Queensland apprentices as they take their skills from the workshop to the racetrack.

As part of the 2026 Formula High Schools project, 32 apprentices have taken on the challenge of building three Le Mans-style race cars from the ground up.

On Friday, 16 October, those cars will hit the track for the NOTTA Grand Prix at Lakeside Park, Kurwongbah, where the challenge isn’t about who crosses the finish line first. It’s about keeping all three cars on the track for the full six hours, maintaining consistent lap speeds and putting their mechanical skills to the test.

We’ve jumped on board as a sponsor to help get the apprentices and their cars to the event, and we’re proud to support an initiative that gives young tradespeople the opportunity to put their skills into practice in a pretty unique way.

We can’t wait to see the apprentices and pit crews in action.

Last month, some of the Ellico team swapped office life for a night out at the Queensland Mining Awards Gala.

It was a great opportunity to connect with others across the industry, catch up with familiar faces and make some new connections along the way.

The evening was also a chance to celebrate the people, ideas and innovations continuing to drive Queensland’s mining industry forward, and to see some of the incredible achievements and advancements happening across our sector recognised.

👖💙 This August, the Ellico team is proud to support our own Larissa and her family's fundraising efforts for Jeans for Genes.

This is a cause that's incredibly close to our hearts. Larissa's son, Oscar, was born with an incredibly rare chromosome deletion, and each year she raises funds to help support life-changing genetic research for children and families living with genetic conditions.

Throughout August, our team will be getting behind Larissa's fundraiser, with Jeans for Genes Day on Thursday, 6 August marking the official day to wear your denim and show your support.

If you're in a position to donate, we'd love for you to support Larissa's fundraising page. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps fund vital research and gives hope to families like hers.
