Ive been quite blessed as a tradesman to be able to travel the world and apply my trades in different settings and environments. Ive sometimes been asked why risk life and limb in other places for money that isnt to much than what we earn here?
Its a pretty simple answer from me. For the experience, outcome and not just income.
The experience places like Saudi, Kazakhstan or Turkey have givin me I couldnt have learned in our mining industry with character, understanding and face to face business styles.
The experiences over Africa as far as item and part procurement and the ability to keep things working and learning new tips and tricks i wouldnt have learned here, because everything is replaced and not repaired.
Asia. Vietnam and the Phillipines and having numbers on jobs, allocating an abundance of labour and using Australian controls and systems to make sure all those people go home.
As Boretearers opens up and more and more opportunities come our way, im thankful for the moments and people that have backed me in some pretty questionable decisions on my part 😅 and given me the opportunities to be able to grow as a tradesman and fundamentally as a man.
Here's to all of the Australian businessmen and businesses that put faith in small business and tradies around Australia and the world. Without that moment of belief? The little Blue Boar wouldnt be what we are today.
