I am pleased to announce that Wattblock has won the Environmental, Social and Community Impact Award at the Strata Community CHU Awards for Excellence 2026.

Great to see the Prime minister quoting Wattblock's Electrify Strata data on 3.5% of NSW strata buildings having solar installed at the launch of the Solar for Apartment Residents (SoAR) grant.

The Solar for Apartment Residents incentive is the first-of-its-kind, giving owners’ corporations and strata managers the opportunity to have installation costs like inverters, mounting systems and electrical work labour covered.

By installing solar, residents could have their energy bills reduced by up to $600 annually 🙌

Great to see Sydney Morning Herald/The Age talking to Wattblock and Allume Energy on "Why do so few apartments in Sydney and Melbourne have cost-saving solar panels?"

It’s a question that has long frustrated governments and apartment dwellers, particularly as Australia is a world leader in rooftop solar.

I had the fortune to speak with Cameron Knox, CEO and founder of Allume Energy which makes a unique solar sharing system. Solshare allows apartment buildings to share a single solar system, feeding solar power into multiple apartments and reducing the cost of living for residents. In this fireside chat we talk about Allume Energy's journey over the past 10 years and the federal government's "Solar Banks" grant scheme. Solar banks has already been launched for apartment buildings in Victoria and the ACT and is coming soon to NSW strata.
