However, before proceeding, we thought it best to seek public feedback to determine whether this behaviour should be discouraged—or encouraged.

Some people ignore red flags. These hydraulic hoses ignored wear marks, common sense and several opportunities to change direction.

Weekend job = hunting down leaks and giving the hoses a well-deserved retirement. The only evidence of the drama was an oil patch left behind as a reminder.

Even got a selfie of the big dog in his natural habitat-wedged into a machine, covered in oil and wondering why he didn't become an accountant.

Anyone who’s anyone in this game knows that feeling when everything lines up first go. No seized bolts, no busted knuckles, no emergency trips back to the ute for that bigger hammer… and for five glorious minutes you feel like your walking on sunshine.

Sharing some of those magical moments where the job goes suspiciously well and you start looking around wondering if the workshop gods have finally picked a favourite.

Rare day off? Perfect time to… work on work stuff 😅🔧

Today’s mission involved turning the ute boxes from “where the bloody hell did I put that?” into something slightly more professional with custom drawer dividers and Milwaukee battery holders.

Because apparently spending a day relaxing wasn’t an option.

At BnC Field Maintenance we’re always tweaking, upgrading, and fine tuning the setup so when the breakdown calls come through at stupid o’clock, everything’s where it should be and ready to go...except today, its acceptable to have a beer as hydration. 🍻

Organisation level: still not perfect… but at least the batteries have a home now 🤝⚙️

Most people spend their Sunday mornings sleeping in, sipping coffee and pretending Monday isn’t coming… meanwhile this legend’s out here giving the 996 Liebherr the spa treatment and sending selfie updates.🤳

Keeping the gear clean isn’t just about looking good — it’s about pride in the job, spotting issues early and keeping the fleet running hard. Massive effort from the boss man getting it done while the rest of the world hits snooze.

Long swings. Early mornings. 9 million Monster drinks deep ☕⚡
Endless “she’ll be rights” echoing through the early hours while the rest of the world sleeps.

Being away from home isn’t always easy. It’s missed dinners, tired eyes, dirt in everything you own, counting down the days until you’re back with the people who matter most.

But every now and then, Mother Nature throws a sky like this across the horizon and the whole mine site goes quiet for a minute. Steel and dust beneath a painted sky. A reminder that every shift finished is one step closer to home, one step closer to the loved ones we do it all for ❤️

Component change outs across a fleet of Caterpillar 793 haul trucks.

A few busted knuckles, 47 energy drinks, questionable amounts of sleep, and enough grease to permanently stain every set of work clothes we own… but that’s all part of getting the job done.

The crew put in a massive effort turning spanners, talking rubbish, and somehow keeping the fleet moving at the same time. Pretty sure morale was held together by bad jokes, caffeine, and pure determination
