We are a multi-disciplinary studio and workshop in Sydney's inner west. We can make anything really!

We make props and models for film, television and theatre; interactive exhibits for museums; custom architectural fittings for retail and hospitality; and bespoke furniture. Renowned for our design sensibility and eye for detail, our clients love our aesthetic approach to their briefs and our flair for filling in the blanks creatively when required. Our clients include:

These David Jones Xmas windows were made in 2023. Based on a book, commissioned by DJs and made by Macgyver.

Here at Macgyver we work with many different materials, metals, wood, plywood, leather, plastics, fabrics etc.. whatever suits the job and your budget. Here is a prop we made for an advertising campaign last year and the stages of conception.

Showcasing the variety of things we make here at Macgyver. One of which is furniture. Here are some blackened steel and leather chairs designed by Simon Cavanough, the man at the Macgyver helm. We also make furniture designed by others (you?), we collaborate, the possibilities are endless…

Here at Macgyver we’ve been living Xmas for most of the year. Up until a couple of weeks ago we wrapped it up with a massive install which ran into the wee hours of the morn. Looking back it’s been a pretty good gig, making cute kinetic sculptures with a beautiful bunch of people, you know who you all are (well... actually i'll list them below).

The windows this year are taken from the book "The Twelve Dogs of Xmas" by the author, Alison Ritchie and illustrator, Marisa Morea (check the windows out at the near St James station, facing the Castlereagh St side).

A special thanks to all the extraordinary creators of this fabulous work!!
