Lisa and Michael wanted more from their 1970s brick veneer home: a combined open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, with direct access to the backyard, plus a refreshed ensuite as part of the build.
We delivered in 14 calendar weeks (10 weeks construction after permits):
• Knox City Council planning permit obtained
• 32sqm rear extension on a new concrete slab
• Two structural steel beams to remove the rear load-bearing wall
• Brickwork and colorbond roofing colour-matched to the existing home
• 3.6m aluminium sliding doors to a new rear deck
• Spotted gum engineered timber flooring through 68sqm of new and existing rooms
• Asbestos eaves safely removed by a licensed specialist (identified pre-construction, included in the original quote)
The result:
• Around 32sqm of new family living space
• Significantly more natural light through the rear of the home
• Estimated property value uplift of $180,000 to $220,000 based on comparable Ringwood sales
• Building permit and occupancy certificate granted without issue
