This year the McGrath Foundation is celebrating 20 years of care, expanding its mission to support all cancers to ensure no one goes through cancer without the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.

🫶Since 2013, bp has been partnering with the McGrath Foundation, supporting its important work for cancer patients and their families.

🩷 This month, bp is turning pink for its annual McGrath Foundation campaign in stores, with donations from participating products going towards funding McGrath Cancer Care Nurses.

bp’s in-store campaign to support the McGrath Foundation will be running until September 23. You can find out more https://on.bp.com/4n8RdtQ

While today we’re mostly in oil and gas, we increased the proportion of our global annual investment that went into our lower carbon & other transition businesses from around 3% in 2019 to around 23% in 2023.

20/03/2024

🚧 Our Kwinana Energy Hub is transforming to support a net zero future. See the progress we made in 2023!

🦺 We safely removed old oil refining infrastructure as we progress towards approval for our renewable fuels and renewable hydrogen projects.

🌱 If the projects proceed, we’ll produce and to deliver quality, lower carbon fuels to our customers to help them decarbonize their operations.

♻️ More than 30,000 tonnes of materials, including metal and concrete, has been recycled so far.

👷 Tanks for the memories! Check out our progress at the Kwinana Energy Hub...

🚧 We’ve removed some tanks, which were part of our former oil refinery, to make way for our potential Kwinana Renewable Fuels project; which would be Australia’s largest !

🌿If the project proceeds, we’ll also convert some other tanks to hold sustainably-sourced feedstocks, like used cooking oil, which we’ll use to produce biofuels like sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel.

♻️ More than 30,000 tonnes of materials, including metal from these tanks, has been recycled so far.

🛢️ Our former oil refinery at Kwinana is transforming into an integrated energy hub.

👷 We’re planning to produce renewable fuels and renewable to support our ambitions.

☀️ Renewable hydrogen can help our site operations, as well as hard-to-abate sectors like mineral processing, heavy industry and mining.

22/11/2023

📊 Wind speed and temperature monitoring for Project GERI has begun.

🌤️ A 152m tower has been installed just north of Mullewa in Western Australia, where we’re planning wind and solar facilities to produce renewable energy.

🌏 We’re planning to use the renewable energy to produce renewable to help existing industry and deliver a range of new lower carbon opportunities for the Mid West and beyond.
