Introducing The Nesting Guide

A new resource created by The Sociable Weaver to support thoughtful furnishing of sustainable homes.

Designing a home with care for the environment is only one part of the journey. The objects we choose to live with also shape the health, longevity and atmosphere of our spaces.

The Nesting Guide brings together furniture, lighting, textiles and homewares aligned with principles of durability, low embodied carbon, responsible sourcing and wellbeing.

A considered pathway for creating interiors that support both people and planet.

IN CONSTRUCTION | Rammed Earth + Reflected Landscape — Neerim Junction, West Gippsland

Rammed earth walls ground the home in place, while steel and glass quietly mirror the shifting landscape beyond. Reflections blur the edge between building and site, allowing the architecture to sit lightly within its rugged surrounds — measured, restrained, and deeply connected to nature beyond.

ON SITE | Neerim Junction, West Gippsland
A home that walks the line between shelter and landscape.

The deep eaves stretch outward, tracing the horizon and offering protection from the elements, while full-height glazing draws the rolling hills into daily life. The dark exterior recedes into the terrain, allowing the changing sky and paddocks beyond to become the focal point.

Designed to sit lightly, built to endure — architecture that responds to place rather than competing with it.

Shoreham — a coastal bushland retreat.
Natural, understated materials anchor the architecture gently to its site.

At the heart of the home, the kitchen and dining space is calm, tactile and purposeful. Clean lines and considered detailing sit within a restrained, natural palette — allowing light, texture and daily ritual to unfold.
