The layout wasn't working. The style wasn't right. So we gutted it and started fresh.

Kitchen, powder room, and laundry. All done. All to spec.
The interior designer had the plans locked down to every material and finish. Our job was to build it exactly as drawn. No shortcuts, no guesswork.

Weeks later, this is what the owners came home to.

We filled in the corner window. Then built the whole kitchen around the new one. 🏗️

Mount Waverley kitchen renovation, this one started with a single structural decision. Remove the old steel corner windows. Brick it up. And install a 3.2m wide feature window facing the backyard.

From there, everything followed. Solid Tassie oak floors. Natural stone benchtop. Brushed copper fixtures. A kitchen designed from the outside in.

The Melburnian. One of Melbourne's most iconic residential buildings — and one of our favourite projects to date.
Our client wanted a full kitchen renovation done to the standard the building demands. InvisaCook hidden under the porcelain benchtop. Billi tap for boiling, chilled, and sparkling water. Steam and pyrolytic ovens. New flooring engineered to hit The Melburnian's strict 48dB acoustic rating. And a bold feature wall to tie the living space together.
Every detail managed. Every standard met. A result the client didn't have to stress about once.
If you're thinking about a renovation, we'd love to hear from you.

Some things are built to last.
My grandparents ran a joinery business in Moonee Ponds for over 50 years. My dad and uncle worked that shop their whole lives. This window was one of the last ones they ever made.
When my cousin came to us to build her home, we knew exactly where it belonged.
That's what this work means to us. It's never just a build.

What do you do when every wall is out, the floor's unlevel, the sewer has no fall, and then you find asbestos?

You fix it. All of it. Before a single tile goes down.
This Coburg bathroom started as a bedroom in a 1920s Californian bungalow. The old bathroom became a hallway. The bedroom became this, a full family bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, and vanity that actually works for how a family lives.

The fluted glass runs through the shower screen, the window, and the timber joinery. One detail, carried through the whole room. That's what makes it feel intentional rather than assembled.

Every problem got solved out of sight. The result speaks for itself.

Not every build goes perfectly, and we’re the first to admit it.

On this bathroom renovation, the system we originally planned ended up being too tall for the new wall setup. Something we hadn’t come across before.

By the time we realised, it was too late to return it, so we had to wear the cost, source a different system, and swap it over.

Sometimes the best thing you can do on a project is own the mistake, fix it properly, and move forward.

Three challenges we had building this bathroom.

Working in a 1920s home always comes with surprises. In this case we were dealing with uneven walls, flooring that wasn’t level, and a sewer line that didn’t have enough fall, which meant installing a completely new run out to the inlet.

On top of that, we also had to safely remove asbestos before the build could continue.

Not the easiest project, but solving these kinds of challenges is part of working on older homes.

Where style meets functionality.

This family bathroom was designed to balance practicality and privacy. The layout allows multiple people to use the space comfortably, whether the kids are brushing their teeth or someone is using the shower.

To bring everything together, we used fluted glass, matching joinery, a window for natural light, and carefully selected finishes that tie the whole room together.

A bathroom that works just as well as it looks.

How to do a testimonial properly.
Step 1: Give your cousin cue cards.

This bathroom almost didn’t work.

Homes from the 1920s come with plenty of character… but they also come with uneven floors, walls that aren’t quite square, and plumbing that often needs a rethink.

On this Coburg project we had to rework the sewer fall and carefully level everything before the real bathroom build could even begin. It was one of those jobs where the preparation takes as much skill as the final finishes.

Challenging builds like this are where experience really counts, and seeing it come together makes it all worth it.

One of the biggest differences when renovating inside the Melburnian is the acoustic standard.

While most apartment buildings require a 60dB acoustic rating, the Melburnian sits at a much stricter 48dB. That means every layer matters, from acoustic matting under the flooring, to specialised adhesives, right through to pre- and post-installation acoustic testing by an engineer.

The result? Once the doors are closed, outside noise stays outside. No footsteps, no arguments next door, no dogs running around upstairs.
This level of detail is exactly why experience in apartment renovations makes all the difference.
