Contour/Detailed survey

Whether you are buying a new site or re-developing your exiting house a detailed survey becomes essential. It provides the following critical information:

- Land dimensions for architect's reference during design.

- Contour lines to determine the direction of land fall and later helps with stormwater management.

- Boundary lines from all sides and any encroachment from neighbouring properties.

- Any easements or sewer pits within boundary.

Make sure to always use a registered surveyor to ensure accurate survey plans are produced.

Geotechnical Survey

What is it?

One of the earliest stages of site preparation include a geotechnical survey. A specialist geotech technician attends site with drilling rig to collect soil samples few meters underground (approx 6-8m below ground) for medium size projects with basements.

Why is it needed?

Soil samples are analysed & a formal report is generated. This report is then used by the structural engineer to design the building foundation taking into account the soil type. Geotech survey is also used to detect underground water presence aka water table
