Back in the Forge at Old Gippstown. Had a little observer today(the possum) He/she has been trying to make a nest in one of the whirly-gig extractors in the roof. (without much luck I must say.)😁

Catching up on cleaning some items from the molasses bath and one of said items was a mortise axe. Been in the bath for about a month. Clearly shows wrought iron body with carbon steel insert to form cutting edge.
