We are proud to announce that we have entered the Humanitarian Innovation Awards and are putting forward an Innovation Pitch which is aligned with our team mission. Our mission is to provide access to clean water to everyone around the world.
The Innovation Pitch is run by the University of Sydney and is described as:

“an annual national submissions contest where university students present innovative technological or engineering solutions that support human welfare through benevolent treatment or assistance to people for substantially altruistic reasons.
In groups of 2-4, students are encouraged to select a real-world humanitarian problem and develop technology-driven solutions” [Source: University of Sydney]

The final criteria for our micro-desalination device was to ensure that it is low-cost and produced in a sustainable way. It is important that this project is able to help as many people as possible and have a positive impact on the lives of those who don't have access to clean water, whilst also protecting the environment.
