📍13 South Street, Rydalmere NSW 2116 We provide engineering & construction labour for the region’s best worksites

We’ve provided highly skilled labour hire and real-world training for tradespeople and labourers in manufacturing, mining services, other engineering trades

and construction for over a decade. Last year alone we supplied over 210,000 labour hours to Newcastle and the Hunter’s best worksites and projects. We’re for highly skilled labour hire and recruitment

We supply highly skilled workers to the likes of Joy Global (Komatsu), Westrac, GWH, Stowe Australia and Gleeson Civil. Our workers’ health and safety is always our top priority

We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of WHS compliance. We don’t just meet training and safety requirements – we purpose-built our own RTO to make worksites safer and more productive. We also provide apprenticeships via our GTO to help develop the next generation of workers. We’re geared up for fast-turnaround projects

We’ve previously delivered 48 workers at short notice for complex mine site projects. This includes adherence to detailed mine site induction and safety procedures. Our training is real-world and is delivered by industry veterans

We’re the industry’s only labour hire provider based in the region with a RTO on the same premises. Our state-of-the-art training facility features our training simulator, which has been custom-engineered over several years to closely simulate the work environment. Either way, it’s delivered by respected industry experts.

Since we first started working with local industry in The Hunter in 2010 there has always been a shortage of skilled engineering tradespeople . The issue hasn't gone away. To be frank, with the latest cuts in apprentice funding from the Federal Government I'm not sure we are going in the right direction.

However, the power always remains within us to make a difference. The power remains in the choices we make and the action we take.

Maxwell Recruitment & Training became a Group Training Organisation 3 years ago, and we became part of the solution. Check out Jai Marshall, an outstanding young apprentice who will help build this country with his hands.

Training shouldn’t always mean pulling crews off site, losing hours to travel, or shutting down operations for the day.

This week our mobile confined space and working at heights simulator was back out on site delivering training directly at a client workplace.

For regional and remote teams especially, bringing the training to site can mean:

Less downtime, travel, and disruption to operations.
Plus more practical, job-relevant learning in the actual work environment.

We’ve invested heavily into building training capability that works in the real world, not just the classroom.

We don’t stand still. The market does not accept it.

This is our fourth facility here in Newcastle.
Each move has been an upgrade. Each step a lift in standard.

This is the next level.

We’ve built a space designed for performance.
Recruitment. Training. Apprenticeships. All under one roof.

When people feel energised, supported, and strong, they perform better.

That’s what this is about.

Relentless Evolution. Raising the bar. Creating an environment where our team, our students, and our candidates can keep getting better.

Good business starts with understanding people.

As our Business Development Manager, Lachlan Ringuet focuses on solving problems, not just services.

His role is simple. Listen first, understand what clients actually need, and then deliver the right solution through recruitment, apprenticeships, and high impact safety training that makes a real difference to their business.

Strong relationships are built on trust, effort, and genuine care.

Some people talk about standards. Paul lives them.

As our RTO Manager, Paul McDonough is hands on every day. Training courses, supporting trainers, getting on site, and making sure what we promise is what we deliver.

He comes from industry, understands the real world, and leads by example.

That matters.

At Maxwell, one of our core values is Walk Your Talk.
Paul is a strong example of exactly that.

Helping People Win at Work.

Sometimes we get asked how we still have the energy to recruit highly skilled tradespeople when they’re so hard to find.

Simple.

We don’t chase resumes.
We build understanding.
We stay connected with people.

That’s why we can move faster, find the right fit, and deliver results.

After 15+ years working with Konecranes, this is what it looks like in practice.

As Maxwell continues to grow in Sydney, it’s been awesome to partner with Gordon Rugby who so closely align with who we are and how we work.

A big part of that connection has come through Lachlan Albert, our Sydney Recruitment Consultant and Gordon halfback, whose relationships and leadership helped bring this partnership to life.

There’s a genuine shared belief in growth, standards, and the relentless pursuit of getting better.

Lachlan Hodges. Recruitment Consultant. Teammate.

Lachlan sums up what Maxwell Recruitment & Training is all about.
Strong culture. Real mateship. Turning up each day with purpose.

He gets a genuine kick out of placing people into work.
Not just giving people a job, but helping them build careers.
Watching someone go from labour hire into a permanent role and helping our clients build their workforce is awesome.

On the field, he’s representing the Hunter Wildfires.
Off the field, he’s backing people to win at work.

This is Maxwell.

The little things are the big things.

This week our RTO Manager Paul McDonough joined a quarterly team BBQ for one of our long-term clients, Kenshaw / ARA Electrical Group.

He ran a short CPR refresher with the crew. Practical. Relevant. Done properly.

That’s how we operate.

Show up. Add value. Back our clients.

Meet Oscar. Apprentice Boilermaker.

When he started his apprenticeship, we made a commitment to back him properly.

The role. The support. The PPE. The connection to TAFE.

Everything in place so he can focus on learning the trade and building his future.

At Maxwell Recruitment & Training, we don’t just say we’ll support our apprentices — we do it.

Walk Your Talk.
