Operating MC trucks safely and efficiently
Transporting materials and equipment as required
Completing daily pre-start inspections and vehicle checks
Maintaining logbooks and associated records
Keeping trucks clean, tidy, and well-presented
Assisting with loading activities when required
Working as part of a professional and supportive team

Essential Requirements
✔ Current MC Licence
✔ Previous MC truck driving experience
✔ Strong commitment to safety
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Reliable and professional attitude
Preferred Experience
✔ Self-loading experience highly regarded
✔ Experience operating loaders or other civil plant equipment
✔ Experience in civil construction, mining, or transport operations

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Level 4 Waste Disposal Operator to support the day-to-day operations of our Waste Management Facility.

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

What You'll Be Doing:
✅ Operating plant and equipment within the waste facility
✅ Managing waste placement and disposal activities
✅ Directing customers and vehicles around the site
✅ Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
✅ Conducting daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
✅ Supporting recycling and resource recovery activities

Essential Requirements:
✔ Front End Loader experience
✔ Hook Bin Truck experience
✔ Current Driver's Licence
✔ Strong commitment to workplace safety
✔ Reliable work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
Desirable:
✔ Experience in waste management, landfill, civil, or quarry operations
✔ Additional plant tickets or machinery experience
✔ First Aid Certificate

Looking for a part-time role that fits around school hours?

Gumatj Waste Management is looking for a friendly and reliable Admin Assistant to help with the day-to-day running of our waste facility in Nhulunbuy.

This is a great opportunity for someone with administration experience, or someone looking to return to the workforce. Training will be provided, so don't worry if you haven't worked in the waste industry before.

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:30pm
📍 Location: Nhulunbuy

What you'll be doing:

- Greeting customers and assisting with gate entry
- General office administration
- Data entry and record keeping
- Basic bookkeeping and invoice processing
- Timesheet reconciliation
- Answering phone and email enquiries
- Supporting the Waste Management team with day-to-day administration

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

- Good computer skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- A friendly and professional attitude
- Good organisational skills
- Experience in administration or bookkeeping (helpful but not essential)
