“There is absolutely no innovation without failure.”💡📖🧠

Brené Brown has changed the way we understand courage, vulnerability, and leadership. As a researcher, storyteller, and bestselling author, she has spent decades studying shame, empathy, and connection, proving that true strength comes from embracing our imperfections.

Through her groundbreaking TED Talk, books like Daring Greatly and The Gifts of Imperfection, and her leadership research, she has helped millions find the confidence to show up authentically in work, relationships, and life. Her work has transformed how leaders build trust, how teams collaborate, and how individuals embrace self-worth.

Brené Brown reminds us that vulnerability is not weakness—it’s our greatest strength. Her legacy is a world where more people dare to be seen, to lead with empathy, and to live wholeheartedly.

“When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and seeds of hope.” 🌳🌱🌍

Wangarĩ Maathai believed that real change starts from the ground up—quite literally. As an environmentalist, activist, and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, she dedicated her life to empowering communities through the Green Belt Movement, which led to the planting of over 50 million trees across Africa.

But her work wasn’t just about reforestation—it was about restoring dignity and opportunity. By teaching women how to plant and sustain trees, she helped them gain financial independence, combat deforestation, and protect their communities from climate change. Despite political opposition, arrests, and threats, she never backed down, proving that one woman’s vision can inspire a movement.

Wangari Maathai showed the world that planting a tree is an act of resistance, hope, and renewal. Her legacy continues to grow—rooted in courage, resilience, and a belief in a better future.

“I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy.” 🧪⚗️🔬

Marie Curie wasn’t just a scientist—she was a trailblazer who shattered barriers and transformed the world through science. She became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and remains the only person to win in two different scientific fields—Physics and Chemistry. Her groundbreaking research on radioactivity led to the discovery of polonium and radium, revolutionizing cancer treatments, nuclear energy, and medical imaging.

Her impact didn’t stop in the lab. During World War I, she developed mobile X-ray units, bringing life-saving diagnostics to soldiers on the battlefield. As the first female professor at the University of Paris, she proved that brilliance knows no gender and opened doors for future generations of women in STEM.

Marie Curie didn’t just break glass ceilings—she dissolved them, one discovery at a time. Her legacy is one of perseverance, transformation, and an unrelenting pursuit of knowledge.

"Like what you do, and then you will do your best." 🚀🪐🔭

Katherine Johnson was pioneering mathematician and NASA scientist whose calculations were critical in sending the first American astronauts into space. Her work broke barriers in both STEM and racial and gender equality, paving the way for future generations of women in science.

Her groundbreaking work at NASA, including calculating trajectories for John Glenn's orbit and the Apollo 11 Moon landing, changed space exploration forever. But beyond her mathematical genius, she broke racial and gender barriers, proving that talent knows no boundaries.

As a Black woman in a male-dominated field, she fought for her place at the table and, in doing so, paved the way for generations of women in STEM. Her legacy reminds us that equality isn't just about being included - it's about making an impact.

Katherine Johnson didn't just calculate numbers - she calculated a path for future generations of women to follow their dreams in STEM.

International Women’s Day is more than a celebration—it’s a call to drive real change and accelerate action. 🚀 💜

The women who came before us may no longer be here, but their footsteps echo beside ours as we push forward. Their strength fuels us, their resilience guides us, and their fight lives on in each step we take. And as we march forward, we walk hand in hand with women all over the world today—united in the pursuit of equal opportunities, fair treatment, and a future where every woman is valued and empowered.

We do this for the women who deserved a better life, for ourselves as we continue the fight, and for the future generations who deserve to grow up in a world where equality is the norm, not the exception.

💜 This IWD, we don’t just march—we march forward. We don’t just talk about change—we accelerate it.

✨ Thank you to those who push boundaries, speak up, and inspire us to keep moving forward. Change happens because of you.

🧁We’d Take a Cupcake… If It Came with Equality ⚖️⚤

Every year on International Women’s Day, workplaces hand out cupcakes, morning teas, and celebration events—but who’s organising them? More often than not, it’s women themselves, taking time out of their already packed schedules to plan, coordinate, and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Cupcakes are nice. But fairness, equal pay, and real opportunities are better.

Women still face barriers in the workplace that can’t be fixed with a sweet treat:
- Pay gaps still exist—Women in Australia earn 11.9% less than men for full-time work.
- Leadership is still unequal—Women make up nearly 51.1% of the workforce but hold only ~10% of ASX 200 CEO roles.
- Workplace bias is real—Women’s ideas are more likely to be overlooked in meetings, and they often receive feedback on their tone and communication rather than their actual performance.

So, while cupcakes are a kind gesture, they don’t replace what women actually want:
- Equal pay for equal work.
- Fair promotions based on skill, not gender.
- Workplaces where women’s voices are heard, valued, and respected.
- True inclusivity—not just on IWD, but every day.

This isn’t about taking away the cupcakes. It’s about making sure the people eating them have the same chances to succeed. 🤝
