Flashback Friday. In early 2021, the Burley Constructions team undertook bridge inspection and repairs along the Dulwich Hill line on the Sydney Light Rail. Our scope in conjunction with the Structural Engineer was to identify and remediate areas of concern to the various over bridges. Works included concrete removal and replacement, steel beam treatments, brickwork repairs and devegetation. Today, Burley Constructions continues to provide these services along with many others. Recently, our team were out at Sydenham Station to repair steel gate that was causing grief for passengers and station staff. After removing the gate and damaged hinges, the team then realigned the gate and new hinges back into place.

As part of Great River City Light Rail maintenance, the Burley Constructions Team were tasked with inspecting and cleaning drainage lines and services pits along the network. Over the 2 day shutdown the team worked their way from Westmead through to Parramatta, flushing lines, removing debris and silt build up, as well as identifying problem areas requiring increased maintenance.

Over the last few weeks, Burley Constructions assisted their newest Client with Project Supervision and Labour on a package of works in the mountains. Apart from the challenges with access, logistics and even phone coverage, the crews also had to brave winter like temperatures with some mornings falling below zero degrees. Last month our team were out at Norwest Station replacing glass panels for our client. To avoid the use of scaffolding or an EWP being used on platform level, we were able to fabricate a unique system to allow for the quick and safe removal and replacement of the damaged panels. Just another example of our problem-solving skills.⚠️🦺

Flashback Friday..
Burley Constructions inaugural project back in 2019 was at the Sydney Ferries shipyard in Balmain. Here we managed the fabrication, removal, and installation of the dry dock door for our esteemed client.
Proud moments like these remind us of the incredible journey we’ve been on and how grateful we are for the opportunity to contribute to such remarkable projects. Looking forward to more exciting times ahead.

In what has been a long time in the making, the boys were finally out at Castle Hill to remove and replace a number of custom glass skylight panels. Another job well done team.

During the recent extended engineering hours, our crews were able to grind and conform 114 track welds across George Street in the City and Wansey Road to High Street in Randwick. With only 3 nights and 5 hours each night to mobilise, grind, test and demobilise, the crews did an awesome job to exceed our expected targets once again. Last week our crew were in the northwest of Sydney undertaking a number of maintenance repairs for our valued client. Works involved repairing broken and raised pavers, glass sealant to skylights, and graffiti removal from concrete seats. 🚧 🦺👷🏽‍♂️
