Compass Forklifts is seeking a Forklift Technician to join our team on a part-time basis (1 day per week), with the opportunity to increase hours as our workload grows.
This role would be ideal for a retired or semi-retired mechanic looking to stay active, earn extra income, and work with a friendly, supportive team.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklifts at customer sites and in our workshop, helping keep our customers' equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Service and maintain electric, LPG and diesel forklifts
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Complete service reports and communicate with customers professionally
Work independently while managing your daily workload
About You
Hands-on mechanical experience (forklift, automotive, heavy diesel or similar)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently
Current driver's licence
Forklift experience is highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate
