We are proud to announce that Encore Minerals, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Encore Resources, will proceed with the construction and operation of its flagship Windarra tailings project. đź‘Ź
Following board approval of a Final Investment Decision (FID) with Poseidon Nickel Limited (ASX: POS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maritana Minerals Limited (ASX: MRT), Encore will proceed with the remining and treatment of the Windarra tailings using Draslovka’s patented dual-reagent for gold, with first production expected to commence in mid-2027.
A Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) completed in July 2021 estimates production of approximately 53,500-55,200 ounces of gold over a 45-month operating period, depending on the tailings mining method adopted. The project benefits from existing site infrastructure, including sealed roads, potable water, offices, and staff accommodation.
By leveraging leading-edge sustainable technology, Encore Minerals will reprocess tailings through global best practice, placing reprocessed and conditioned tailings into the previously mined-out South Windarra pit.
