Our Vortex team recently completed an internal clean of a 15-metre grain/oat silo, tackling thick mould that had built up across the internal walls.

Using dry ice blasting with food-hygiene-grade CO₂, we were able to remove the mould while naturally sanitising the surface at the same time—all without introducing additional secondary waste into the silo.

Combined with specialist rope access, line-fed air and breathing apparatus, our team safely delivered a thorough clean in a challenging environment.

This project took our Vortex team inside a 15-metre grain and oat silo, where thick mould had built up across the internal walls.
