UON has been granted an Australian patent for the UON SMART™ Battery Motor Controller (BMC), an innovation developed to help customers get more from renewable energy-powered pumping systems.

Designed to optimise the control of submersible pumps powered by renewable energy sources, the BMC improves efficiency, reliability and performance in remote and challenging environments where dependable water supply is essential.

By helping reduce operating costs, improve energy utilisation and minimise site logistics, the BMC enables customers to unlock greater value from their renewable energy investments while supporting long-term sustainability goals.

Rain, mud and plenty of determination! 🌧️👟

A big congratulations to everyone who took part in this year's Avon Valley Transcend Trails event. Despite some challenging conditions, our team embraced the adventure, tackled the trails and showed plenty of resilience, teamwork and good humour along the way.

Well done to everyone who participated, volunteered, supported the event or cheered from the sidelines. We're proud to be part of a team that gets involved and isn't afraid of a little rain.

Fleet electrification does not have to begin with a full-scale rollout.

A modular charging system lets an operation start with the vehicles and power demand it has today, then add charging capacity, dispensers and supporting energy infrastructure as the fleet grows.

Jayson is a key member of our R&D team overseeing electrical testing and commissioning; keeps an eye on how equipment is performing in the field; and helps make sure UON products are working as they should before they reach the client.

He also brings a practical, hands-on perspective to the Engineering team, helping bridge the gap between the workshop and the drawing board.

Outside of UON, Jayson is a hobbyist jeweller and watchmaker. When he’s not working on something tiny and precise, you’ll probably find him playing ice hockey.
