🔊 We’re excited to welcome Huai-An Liu to the Acoustics Consultants Australia team, as our newest Acoustics Consultant!

Based in Perth, Huai-An is a proactive audio and acoustic engineer with hands-on experience across architectural and environmental acoustics and audio engineering.

Before joining ACA, Huai-An worked with Qvest, specialising in PA system commissioning, EASE modelling, and audio system measurement, and with Acoustic Logic Consultancy, conducting noise and vibration monitoring and acoustic testing. His early work in Taiwan included large-scale acoustic measurements and auditorium design, complementing his strong technical expertise.

We’re thrilled to have Huai-An on board as we continue to deliver acoustic and vibration solutions for our clients.

We’re excited to welcome Stephani Herrera to the Acoustics Consultants Australia (ACA) team! 🔊

Originally from Colombia, Steph moved to Australia almost 10 years ago and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering from San Buenaventura University in Bogotá. With experience in building acoustics and traffic noise, along with strong leadership and management skills developed during her time working in the hospitality industry, Steph brings a diverse skill set and a fresh perspective to our growing team.

Currently enrolled in the General Principles of Acoustics course with the AAAC - Association of Australasian Acoustical Consultants, Steph is passionate about deepening her expertise and applying it to deliver innovative, practical solutions for our clients.

Having recently relocated from Hobart to Perth, Steph is excited to embrace the opportunities ahead – and enjoy some warmer weather along the way! ☀️

Working in acoustics is incredibly rewarding.

We get to be part of projects that shape communities, improve well-being, and enhance the way people live, work, and play.

But like many professions, it also comes with challenges.

Tight deadlines, demanding site work, irregular hours, and fluctuating project loads can all take a toll on mental health - which is why checking in with one another is so important.

At ACA, we believe it's vital to look out for each other - not only on R U OK? Day, but every single day. Sometimes, taking just a few minutes to have a genuine conversation over a coffee can make all the difference. ☕

Acoustics Consultants Australia (ACA) has been engaged by Woodside Energy to provide environmental noise assessment for a proposed facility in Western Australia.

Noise assessment plays a critical role in large energy projects — ensuring facilities are designed to meet regulatory requirements, minimise environmental impact, and maintain positive relationships with surrounding communities.

This project is being delivered in collaboration with EnergyLink International, whose extensive energy expertise complements ACA’s local knowledge.

Our role includes:

We’re proud to announce that Acoustics Consultants Australia (ACA) has officially joined The SONNITE Group - a global alliance of leading acoustic consultancies working together to share knowledge, expertise and innovation.

Becoming part of this international network allows us to collaborate with some of the best in the industry while contributing our own strengths in environmental noise and vibration assessment and acoustic design to projects around the world.

Earlier this month, the Acoustics Consultants Australia team came together for our mid-year celebration. It was a great night to reflect on the incredible year so far and toast the team making it all happen.

We kicked off the evening with some drinks and nibbles before heading to HBF Park to watch the Matildas take on Panama. The team delivered a thrilling 3–2 win, which was a great way to cap off the night! ⚽️

Big thanks to everyone who joined - here’s to more milestones, great memories, and even better acoustics in the second half of the year!
