Registrations are now open for our next webinar to be held on Tuesday, 31st March.

Place-based initiatives are uniquely positioned to understand the strengths and challenges within their communities. But turning that knowledge into meaningful action requires access to the right data, shared understanding among stakeholders, and the ability to tell a compelling story about what is happening locally.

Amy Robinson (Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project), Genevieve Jacobs (Hands Across Canberra) and Christine Cottrell (Connected Beginnings Mildura) are Place-based leaders who know this from experience.

In this webinar, Kristi Mansfield will host a conversation with these three leaders. Together they will share how they are using data to better understand their communities, bring partners together around shared goals, and demonstrate progress toward improved outcomes.

Yesterday we held a webinar with Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) and Social Outcomes on Reimagining Impact. Our resource page is now live, including:

- The webinar recording,
- Link to ADA's impact report,
- Link to take the new Impact Culture Assessment, developed with Impact Culture Australia, and
- Free consultation form with Seer Data & Social Outcomes.

Access resources: https://ap1.hubs.ly/y0Cr1c0

The webinar surfaced these powerful insights from ADA's impact journey:

1. Articulating measurable outcomes and bold goals enables deeper donor engagement. For ADA, this has directly contributed to a recent multi-six-figure donation.

2. Embedding live impact reporting on ADA’s website has turned strategy into a transparent, evolving story accessible to staff, board, funders and community alike.

3. Shifting from outputs to outcomes (e.g. moving from “how many dogs placed” to “how many lives changed”) has transformed strategic decision-making, helping ADA focus on measurable independence, wellbeing and social inclusion outcomes rather than activity alone.

4. Embedding impact into culture - threading it into leadership development, systems, language and decision-making - has shifted the organisational mindset.

5. Developing a clear problem statement and outcomes framework anchors your organisation’s strategy, sharpens priorities, and strengthens governance and leadership alignment.

6. Collaborating with partners can multiply impact. ADA and Happy Paws Happy Hearts together have accelerated social inclusion, independence and psychosocial outcomes while strengthening dog training and socialisation.

Watch this short clip from the webinar to hear more from Tim Taylor about points 1 and 2!

Thanks to Sandy Blackburn and Kristi Mansfield for leading the conversation.

Register now for our next webinar with Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) and Social Outcomes, on 19th February.

ADA has strengthened how it measures outcomes and activates its impact reporting through a live Dashboard on the Seer Data Platform.

For many not-for-profits, impact measurement can be seen as a reporting burden. ADA has taken a bold approach to rethinking how impact is created and delivered. Their experience shows how impact can instead be a catalyst for innovation and culture change.

Our panel comprised of:
- Tim Taylor, CEO of ADA,
- Sandy Blackburn, Founder & Managing Director of Social Outcomes, and
- Kristi Mansfield, Founder & CEO of Seer Data

Will lead a Q/A and share how ADA:
- Reimagined its impact model to reach more people
- Embeds impact measurement into everyday practice and the core culture of ADA
- Uses data to support service redesign and partnership decisions
- Activates its impact report through an accessible, shared Dashboard, and
- Strengthened philanthropic and donor engagement.

Strong impact relies on more than intent.

Impact Culture Australia and Seer Data have launched a new assessment that helps organisations understand how deeply impact is embedded into culture, governance and people practices.

For organisations working in data, impact measurement and evidence-informed decision-making, this offers a practical way to identify where systems support impact and where they don’t.

In October, Seer Data Founder and CEO Kristi Mansfield had the privilege of joining leaders from across government, research, philanthropy and community at the National Forum on Australia’s Wellbeing, on a panel exploring "The Role of Data: How we Drive the Measurement of Wellbeing for People and Planet."

Across Australia, our partners are using Seer Data’s technology to turn data into action to strengthen their communities demonstrating the impact of community-led measurement on wellbeing outcomes for people and planet. Kristi was pleased to share stories of some of these remarkable communities leading the way. At Seer Data, we’re proud to support these partnerships through our technology and the Seer Data Method that enables transparent, secure data sharing and storytelling from the grassroots to enable the wellbeing economy at a local level.

Access our blog to learn more about our partners Gladstone Region engaging in action Together, Bega Valley Data Collective, Maranguka, Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project, CatholicCare Victoria, Greater Shepparton Council and Healthy Tasmania.

As Australia advances its national wellbeing framework and agenda, these local examples show that power asymmetries can be addressed and progress can happen when data and decisions come together at the community level. We need to give people confidence to take actions on data and value the data as an asset that can drive community change.
