"How do you get the lines so straight?"

It's one of the questions we get asked the most. The answer isn't just a steady hand... it's the right equipment.

Before the paint goes down, every line is carefully measured and taped using a line taping machine (also known as a line masking applicator). It allows us to apply masking tape with precision, creating clean, consistent demarcation lines that meet the high standards expected in industrial environments.

It's one of those tools that most people never see, but it plays a big role in the finished result.

At Industrial CQ, preparation is just as important as the coating itself. Taking the time to get the details right means crisp lines, professional finishes and safer workplaces.

They say it takes a village... and apparently it takes a small army to build an exhibition stand! 😄

While everyone sees the finished booth at QME, they don't always see what happens beforehand.

There were capability statements to print, brochures to pack, banners to organise, the Moon Deck dark room to prepare and, of course, glowing golf balls to make sure visitors couldn't miss us! (Yes... glowing golf balls. They were a hit!)

Every detail was planned well before the doors opened, and that's what made the stand such a success. A big thank you to the Capricorn Business Hub and everyone who rolled up their sleeves, shared ideas, packed boxes, set up displays and helped bring it all together.

The Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition is one of the industry's premier events, and it was fantastic to showcase what Industrial CQ can deliver while catching up with customers, suppliers and new connections.

To everyone who stopped by for a chat, thank you. And to the team behind the scenes... you know who you are. We couldn't have done it without you. 👏

Today marks the final day of Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME) 2026 in Mackay and the Industrial CQ team has been proud to showcase our capabilities to the mining and industrial sectors. Wendy, Rob and Summer have spent the week meeting with industry, discussing practical solutions and demonstrating how we help businesses improve safety, durability and performance across their sites.

A highlight of our stand has been the purpose-built dark viewing booth, giving visitors the opportunity to experience our Moon Deck illuminated safety systems and Vivid Exit Tapes in real-world conditions. Seeing these products in action has been a fantastic way to demonstrate how innovative safety solutions can make a real difference in low-light and emergency situations.

QME continues to be one of Queensland's most important mining industry events, bringing together operators, contractors, suppliers and decision-makers from across the state. It's an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, build new ones and stay connected with the latest innovations shaping our industry.

We even managed to catch up with the legendary Mackay Safety Monster along the way!

Last week, Wendy had the opportunity to attend the Connecting Copper & Gold Forum Queensland in Gladstone, along with the pre-forum networking evening at Ward's Brewery.

The two events provided a valuable opportunity to connect with project owners, industry leaders, consultants and businesses from across Queensland, while gaining a deeper understanding of the copper and gold projects shaping the state's future.

For Industrial CQ, attending events like these is about more than networking. It's about building relationships, understanding where future opportunities are emerging and ensuring our capabilities are visible to the businesses delivering Queensland's next generation of mining and industrial projects.
