Blue Rhino Building lockdown project is coming along nicely 🙌🏻

Mitch has been busy testing out some new toys (any excuse to add some new power tools to your collection - ammiright?!) to get beautiful finishes and find efficiencies in making these pieces. Who knew construction of houses could be so different to construction of furniture, one must have the correct tools for the job.

He’s used Tallowwood on this table top and coffee table that was knocked up to test things out and trial some new patterns.

Our exisiting inspo table was made with Spotted Gum timber..

For a lighter/Beech finish we will be sourcing and Tasmanian Oak or American Oak..

A couple of custom pieces to start construction this week, finishing touches being decided upon as we speak.

Work is coming along nicely on prototypes of our custom pieces that we will be opening orders for in the coming days.

We hope to have three styles/patterns to choose from, at this stage we are still nutting whether to do dining/coffee table options or dining/side table options.. open to suggestions and requests.

💙 An Update from Blue Rhino Building 💙

As all Sydney siders are well aware, life as we know it has changed a little recently.

We hope you are all safe, well and doing your very best to get through this lockdown with whatever situation you might find yourselves in.
Whatever your thoughts on the current state of affairs, our heart bleeds for everyone impacted. It’s certainly not been easy for anyone, but together we can and we will pull through the other side... stronger than ever. We just need to support and be kind to one another.

On the work front - Given that we reside in one of the Local Government Areas that have additional restrictions imposed, we are not able to leave the house for work purposes. Neither within our own LGA or anywhere in Greater Sydney.

We will be keeping a keen eye on things as they develop and intend on getting back to work as soon as we are permitted. We appreciate all of the support and understanding to date. As soon as we know when we can work and in what capacity we will work to schedule jobs in accordingly in line with the restrictions and COVID safe practices.

As for any new enquiries for future works, we welcome them! We have all of the time on our hands to work on upcoming projects, anything that requires an on-site visit will be scheduled when we can.

In the mean time stay well, stay sane and look after yourselves.. spend some time doing the things you don’t usually have time for. Mitch has been enjoying tinkering and creating. Stay tuned for your chance at snapping up a handcrafted Custom piece over the coming weeks!
