We’re officially open!

Today marks an exciting new chapter for QGE as we proudly opened the doors to our new Sunshine Coast Office. We were honoured to have our local council member Cr Jenny Broderick - Division 1 SCC join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and help us celebrate this special milestone.

This space represents growth, opportunity and our continued commitment to serving our community. A big thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey!

QGE’s Business Manager, Peggy Russell, attended the Systems Leadership Development Association (SLDA) Conference in Cairns last week.

The conference theme this year was ‘Connecting with Purpose’ which was motivating given the challenging economic environment we’re currently facing.

A diverse range of speakers presented at the event, which highlighted different ways Systems Leadership can assist an organisation.

Here at QGE, we take pride in offering an inclusive culture for our employees, and Systems Leadership is a tool we use to ensure our employees can work productively to their potential!

QGE Senior Engineer, David Perez, pointing to the newly installed lights at the Beerwah Glasshouse Sports Club.

David started the project in 2022 utilising commercial contacts to obtain preliminary lighting designs that were used to pitch to local government. The club was able to secure a generous government grant and David volunteered as Project Manager. The new lighting will enable night games to be played across two fields.

David admitted the project had been challenging at times, but to see the new lighting come together this week made it all worthwhile. The project will make a real difference in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland community.

David, who is based in QGE Group's Beerwah Office, worked with Click Village, Hanson and GM Poles to get the project over the line.

Congratulations to David and the Beerwah Glasshouse United Football Club on this amazing effort!

Senior Engineer, Caleb Farry (left) and Managing Director, Gareth Talamini attended the event on behalf of QGE.

QGE is committed to the next generation of engineers and this event was a great opportunity for QGE to directly engage with the industry's newest graduates as well as final year students about to embark on their engineering career.
