A closer look at the details behind this whole-home renovation.

Warm timber, brushed gold, soft neutrals and natural light — a restrained palette carried through with considered detailing.

This bathroom won’t have a single tile in sight.

Instead, almost every surface is being finished in microcement — walls, floors, curves and all.

What looks incredibly simple when it’s finished is actually a highly detailed, hand-applied process. Swipe through to see the work that goes into creating that seamless finish.

The curved wall will conceal the toilet, the shower will sit behind the half wall with a large rain shower overhead, and the vanity and mirrored shaving cabinets will complete the opposite wall.

It’s still a work in progress, but this is one we’re very excited to see come together.

Most people think renovating a unit is just about choosing finishes.

In reality, that’s the easy part.

Before a single cabinet is installed, there’s body corporate approvals, access planning, protecting common areas, coordinating deliveries, scheduling trades around shared spaces and making sure every stage runs smoothly.

By the time these photos are taken, hundreds of decisions have already been made behind the scenes.

It’s why experience matters when renovating a unit.

Would you use the same tile on every surface in your bathroom?

For this Pelican Waters ensuite, the answer was yes.

The same tile was carried across the floors, walls and shower to create a seamless, calming space that feels larger, cleaner and more luxurious.

But achieving a simple result is rarely simple.

Behind every bathroom renovation is weeks of planning, coordination and attention to detail. From waterproofing and cabinetry through to tiling, plumbing and final finishes, every trade needs to arrive at the right time and deliver to the same standard.
