Our Distributor Airmatics based in Penrith have recently completed this project for a recycling centre in NSW.

The customers original compressor installation had quite a few problems which this project addressed. Some of those issues were;

- Continued breakdowns due to the age of the equipment and it’s location in the facility
- Compressed air quality effecting valves and operation of the process equipment
- No back up compressors for breakdowns for this process or the sorting process which had a separate air system
- Lower than required system air pressure
- High energy consumption

To rectify these issues,
A Ceccato DRF151 IVR (110) kw variable speed permanent magnet compressor was installed along with a re rated air dryer and line filters.

Factory pipework was extended to join the two systems together and a new DRD25 IVR (18.5) kw compressor installed at the sorting line.

The original compressors were repaired and moved to the new location as back up compressors.

The plant now saves 40+% on energy to run the compressor systems,
Has the ability to run different pressures depending on process requirements,
Has back up for all compressed air systems,
Improved the air quality in the compressed air system savings tens of thousands on valve replacements per year.
