Recently we posted some gate work we had done in Upper Colo. CPM where also involved in the home build on the same property. It is amazing to see pictures of the home built nearly 20m above creek level.
The first picture was taken in the recent 2022 March flood event. This property is not directly on the colo river and isn’t impacted by Warragamba dam. The water pictured is pure storm water catchment in the Upper Colo area, which flows to meet the Colo river. The Water NSW records show Upper Colo peaked at approximately 16.553m and SES released emergency update warnings of up to 22m when major flood water was rising past 14m at the river gauge readings. These pics prove it was much higher in catchment areas.
We are pleased to report the home avoided serious water damage. The home was built well above the DA height requirements for flood. The driveway also visible in the picture. The materials used at the base level where all planned to be the highest strength materials resistant to flood and fire.
The gate structure has not altered or moved in any way after being well submerged.
There are clean up and repair challenges on other parts of the property for the owner, and we are always pleased to be there to meet any of our customers needs.
